SEGA has announced that iconic duo Sonic and Tails are coming to Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania.

Not only will Sonic and Tails be free playable characters, but they will also have their very themed stages complete with collectible rings (instead of bananas). The duo is playable for all 300+ levels and mini-games.

The dynamic duo announcement is part of the double anniversary celebrations. This year is the 30^th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog, and the 20^th anniversary of Super Monkey Ball.

Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania will release for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch on October 5^th. Those that purchase the last-gen version will also get a free next-gen upgrade.
