Sonic Frontiers is getting free story DLC and more in 2023

Sonic Frontiers, the latest instalment of the ever-lasting zooming blue hedgehog series, is getting free DLC and more in 2023.
This news comes as a surprise, especially in this day and age when just about everything comes at a cost. So, I’m certainly not complaining. However, this is not the first free DLC, as we’ve already had the Monster Hunter collaboration in November 2022.
In 2023, the free content for Sonic Frontiers will be delivered via three updates. Here’s what’s included in the Sonic Frontiers content roadmap in 2023:
- Update 1: Juke Box, Photo Mode and new Challenge Modes
- Update 2: Sonic’s Birthday, Open Zone Challenge and new Koco
- Update 3: New story and playable characters

Furthermore, the free updates will also include additional character skins and more. Happy days! All the free content will be available to those that own Sonic Frontiers. Details such as a release date and added content details will be revealed at a later date.
Oh, but there is more! On December 21st, Sonic Frontiers players will be able to download the free Holiday Suit Cheer DLC which brings a festive outfit for our favourite blue hedgehog.
Sonic Frontiers is out now for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
