Following the Capcom countdown website, Street Fighter 6 was revealed. Additionally, we were also treated to the announcement of the Capcom Fighting Collection.

Street Fighter 6 was revealed with a short cinematic trailer featuring series icon Ryu, as well as a new character named Luke. Furthermore, Luke will also be the final DLC character in Street Fighter 5.

Details on Street Fighter 6 at this time are very vague with further information to be revealed this summer. Whether Street Fighter 6 will only release on PC and PS4 like SF5, remains to be seen. Hopefully, it will be multiplatform with cross-platform multiplayer.

Capcom Fighting Collection will bring a bundle of Capcom fighting goodness featuring iconic franchises such as Street Fighter, Darkstalkers and more. It will also include arcade games that were only previously released in Japan. So, some titles will be released in the west for the first time.

In total there will be 10 Capcom classics including:

  • Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors
  • Night Warriors: Darkstalkers’ Revenge
  • Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire
  • Vampire Hunter 2: Darkstalkers’ Revenge (previous Japan exclusive)
  • Vampire Savior 2: The Lord of Vampire (previous Japan exclusive)
  • Red Earth (first release outside of arcade)
  • Hyper Street Fighter 2: The Anniversary Edition
  • Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo
  • Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix
  • Cyberbots: Fullmetal Madness

Each of the 10 classic games will have enhanced HD visuals, quality of life improvements as well as online multiplayer. Furthermore, the in-game museum will include over 500 pieces of artwork and over 400 songs via the Music Player.

Capcom Fighting Collection will also be available bundled with Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection. Capcom Fighting Collection will release for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on June 24th.
