Streets of Rage 4 is Getting some Premium DLC

Streets of Rage 4 is getting some premium paid for DLC and a free content update later in the year.

Dotemu, Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games have revealed that arriving in the “Mr. X Nightmare” DLC will be three new playable characters and a new Survival mode.

One of the three playable characters is Officer Estel Aguirre, the badass cop that kicked your ass in the Streets of Rage 4 campaign.  She was without a doubt one of my favourite characters from this awesome brawler, so I’m over the moon that we’ll get to play as Officer Estel Aguirre.

While we’ll have to wait a little longer to find out who the other remaining two playable characters are, and details on the Survival mode are currently vague, the mode is said to challenge “players to elevate and prove their true capabilities through special tests of skill”.

 

The Mr. X Nightmare DLC will also bring customise their favourite characters with new moves, weapons and more.  We’ll also be getting new music from Tee Lopes, the composer on Sonic Mania, League of Legends and Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom.

In terms of the free content update, this will arrive on all available platforms.  The update will bring the New Mania+ difficulty, an in-depth training system and a new colour palette.

A release date for Mr X. Nightmare DLC and free content update is yet to be announced.
