The Callisto Protocol Screenshots Gives Us Big Dead Space Vibes
It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about The Callisto Protocol, but alas new screenshots have been released and give us big Dead Space vibes.
The Callisto Protocol is created by some of the developers that brought us the Dead Space series, led by one of its creators, Glen Schofield.
The screenshots in question are from the latest issue of Game Informer magazine, and within its issue are further details on The Callisto Protocol. However, it also features some fantastic screenshots. It’s practically impossible not to see the Dead Space inspirations.

Sure, we are getting the Dead Space remake next year, but I guess The Callisto Protocol can still be considered to be a spiritual successor of sorts.
The screenshots were shared by MP1ST writer, Okami Games, who purchased the latest issue of the magazine. Okami Games also shared that The Callisto Protocol is still on track to release this year.
In terms of gameplay, The Callisto Protocol will feature both melee and ranged combat, the main character is called Jacob and can use abilities that can pull things towards him (sounds familiar). The enemies in the game are also referred to as “Biophages.”
Furthermore, despite its previous intentions, Glen Schofield has now confirmed that The Callisto Protocol is not set in the same universe as PUBG. Now I know The Callisto Protocol and PUBG share the same publisher, but that was always a strange concept, to begin with.

Hopefully, we’ll get treated to some actual gameplay for The Callisto Protocol, because I’m rather excited about this new sci-fi horror game.
