The Fantastic Assassin’s Creed Educational Discovery Tours are Free to Download
During these times of isolation due to the CONVID-19 pandemic, those of us with children are getting to grips with home schooling our children. While it’s great to be sent assignments from our schools to help us out, sometimes it’s not all that fun for our children. However, some videogame companies such as Majong have been providing us with free educational software in Minecraft and DLC to help our children learn at home and have some fun in the process.
Well, now Ubisoft are the latest videogame company to offer us some free educational goodness, this time with the fantastic Discovery Tours found in Assassin’s Creed: Origins and Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey. If you already own either of those games on PC, PS4 or Xbox One, the Discovery Tours have been available as free DLC for quite some time. But the Discovery Tours have also been available as standalone purchases on PC, each representing Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece at a cost of £14.99 each.
However right now, you can download and keep the Discovery Tours for free as long as you do it from now until Thursday, May 21st. Both Discovery Tours will offer tours of iconic landmarks such as pyramids, learning of well-known personalities, civilian’s way of life, work, culture, myths and much more. You can even free-roam if you wish and the Discovery Tours are combat free, so you won’t have to worry about violence or bad language. Coming from a parent of a 9-year old son, I cannot recommend the Discovery Tours enough. The developers of the Discovery Tours have collaborated with historian experts and they’re kind of like having a tour of virtual museums, apart from you are walking around in the locations with your avatar.
As I said, if you own Assassin’s Creed: Origins or Odyssey, the Discovery Tours are already free to download, but to download them for free on to your PC; you’ll just need to download the Ubisoft launcher (which is also free). Heck, even if you don’t plan on using the Discovery Tours right away, it’s still worth taking advantage of this offer to perhaps be played at a later date for when your children are a little older.
