During the second Resident Evil showcase event, it was announced that fan-favourite The Mercenaries mode is coming back with Resident Evil Village.

For obvious reasons, unlike previous Mercenaries modes which were in a third-person perspective, the Mercs mode in Village will be in first-person.

However, it will still feature the high-octane gameplay as players will frantically make it from one side of the map to the other while earning combos to boost their score and add-on time.

The Duke merchant will also feature in The Mercenaries offering you weapons, upgrades, and abilities for you to take into battle.  The Mercenaries will be unlocked once you complete the man mode of Resident Evil Village.

You can watch the gameplay trailer for The Mercenaries below.  Resident Evil Village will release for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia on May 7th.
