Activision has announced that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 is not only coming to new-gen consoles, but it’s also coming to Nintendo Switch.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 will have upgraded visuals on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S and performance, as well as improved audio and more.

You will have the choice of playing the game at a super-smooth 120fps at 1080p or a native 4K at 60fps.

Unfortunately, not all owners of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 will be an immediate “free” upgrade.  Only those that own the Digital Deluxe version will get a free new-gen upgrade at no extra cost.  At the time of writing there seems to be no word on upgrades for physical copies of the game.

However, those that do own the base version of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 can upgrade by buying the Cross-Gen Deluxe Bundle for $10 (so perhaps about £8 in the UK).

It’s a shame that not all owners of the game will get a free next-gen upgrade at no extra cost, like most titles, but it is what it is.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 will release for PS5 and Xbox One on March 26th with the Nintendo Switch version to follow sometime this year.
