Ubisoft open-world Star Wars game might release soon
According to a report, Ubisoft’s open-world Star Wars game might be released sooner than expected.
Announced in January 2021, the Star Wars game in question is being developed by The Division studio, Ubisoft Massive. During the time of its announcement, no release date was announced, but it was assumed that its release would be a few years away.
Well, it’s now been over two years since its announcement, so it’s only natural that its release date draws near. As reported by Kotaku, it’s claimed that the open-world Star Wars game will release sometime during Ubisoft’s current fiscal year, which means that it could leave anytime now and in April 2024.
Let’s say that the open-world Star Wars game does release in April 2024, and assuming that development started around the time it was announced, that’s only just over three years. In my opinion, even with a massive and talented team, three years isn’t a lot when we’re talking about a Star Wars game to this potential scale, but I could be wrong.
It’s worth keeping in mind that Ubisoft is hosting its ‘Ubisoft Forward’ event next month on 12 June, so hopefully we’ll soon know more.
