Sony and Naughty Dog have revealed the release date, new-gen improvements, and pricing for Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will include remasters of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy for PlayStation 5 and PC at a later date. However, as previously reported, the Legacy of Thieves Collection will not include any of the multiplayer modes.

As detailed on the PlayStation Blog, Legacy of Thieves Collection will have three graphics modes, Fidelity Mode, Performance Mode and Performance+ Mode. Details on the three modes can be found below:

  • Fidelity Mode – For those of you who have a 4K display and want super sharp resolution above all else to enjoy the stunning environments and details the Uncharted series is known for, select Fidelity Mode and play in native 4K resolution with a 30fps target framerate.
  • Performance Mode – Performance Mode targets a 60 FPS frame rate.
  • Performance+ Mode – If you’re all about the smoothest gameplay possible and don’t mind a resolution drop, try out our first ever Performance+ Mode which targets 120fps* at a 1080p resolution.

Other improvements for the PlayStation 5 version include DualSense haptic feedback and adaptive trigger compatibility. Sony says: “we’ve fine-tuned the rumble and resistance here: feeling the 4×4 vehicles roll along in your hands or landing a punch and then rope swinging to safety has never been so rewarding.” Furthermore, loading times have also been improved as well as taking advantage of the PlayStation 5s Spatial 3D Audio.

In terms of pricing, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will have an RRP of £44.99/€49.99/$49.99. You can pre-order the game digitally here.

For those that already own Uncharted 4, The Lost Legacy or the Uncharted 4 & Lost Legacy bundle, you will be able to digitally upgrade to the Legacy of Thieves Collection for £10/$10/€10. This is great and all, but going by the conversion rate, the UK is paying a little more than elsewhere. However, if you only own one of the PS4 games, that’s a sweet deal regardless.

Those that own the physical copy of Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy can also take advantage of the upgrade, you will just have to insert the disc each time you play. The upgrade will be available from January 28th, 2022. If you own Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End via a PlayStation Plus subscription, you will not be eligible for the PS5 upgrade.

Between now and February 3rd, 2022, those that pre-order or upgrade to the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection on PS5 will be gifted with a voucher code for one standard ticket to see the Uncharted movie in select theatres.
