Whenever somebody mentions the term ‘cell-shaded’ in this day and age, it is usually swiftly followed by the word ‘Borderlands’. However, back in the day, way before Randy Pitchford’s circus of degeneracy and porn USB’s, there was another game which carried that particular aesthetic, and sure as hell it carried it well.

The title in question is of course XIII, and while some younger gamers may not even know what it is. Back in the early-to-mid 2000’s, this particular release used to be a fan favourite.  And Microids is planning to bring this particular PC, PS2, GameCube and original Xbox fan favourite release on current gen systems,  in a remastered, rebuilt, and reworked form.

The modern re-release of XIII will feature all of the classic 32 levels, which were playable all the way back in 2003. It will once again, retell the story of <<Thirteen>>, a talented spec-ops operative, with a memory gap larger than a grand canyon, who has been accused of killing the president of United States of America.

XIII will retell the day of the ropeThe Day of The Black Sun” later this year, as it is set to launch across all modern platforms on 13th of November. right now it looks like that it will be a straightforward remaster. But the publisher behind the release promises that there is more to this particular rework, and that sooner rather than later, we are bound to learn more about it.
