Dying Light Free New-Gen Update Is Now Live!

Techland has released the free Dying Light new-gen upgrade and it’s available right now. Though Xbox gamers will have to wait a few more days.
Rather than being a separate install like most new-gen upgrades, this upgrade will be applied via a normal update. So, the next time you fire up the game, the update will begin to download. Unless it’s already downloaded during rest mode.

For PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, there will be three modes, while Xbox Series S will get two modes. However, even last-gen consoles will get an improved framerate. Techland has promised that the Xbox update will arrive in a few days, so hopefully, it will be here by the time this week has ended.
Here’s what the new-gen update will bring to 2015s Dying Light:
PlayStation 5:
- Performance Mode: 1920x1080p resolution at 60FPS
- Balanced Mode: 2560x1440p resolution at 60FPS
- High Resolution Mode: 4K 3840X2160p at 30FPS
PlayStation 4 Pro:
- Improved 30FPS cap
Xbox Series X:
- Performance Mode: 1920x1080p resolution at 60FPS
- Balanced Mode: 2560x1440p resolution at 60FPS
- High Resolution Mode: 4K 3840X2160p at 30FPS
Xbox Series S
- Performance Mode: 1920x1080p resolution at 60FPS
- High Resolution Mode: 2560x1440p at 30FPS
