God of War Ragnarok Jotnar Edition stock taken by scalpers

Last week the God of War Ragnarok Collector’s and Jotnar Edition pre-orders went live in the UK as well as the US.

However, as is often the case, they sold out before most genuine customers had the opportunity to order them. Granted, more fans had luck with the Collector’s Edition. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the case for the slightly more expensive Jotnar Edition.

Both pre-orders for each edition went like in the UK at 10am on Friday 15^th via the retailer, GAME. Sadly, disgruntled fans were reporting that despite having the Jotnar Edition in their basket at 10:01am, the item had already sold out.

Rumours were making the rounds that both accounts acquired a link minutes before the pre-order links officially went live. If true, it explains why they vanished so fast.

Then moments later when the Jotnar Edition had sold out, it was being listed on eBay for around £600/$600 by scalpers. After being fortunate enough to bag me a pre-order, I checked out eBay myself to see if reports were true, and they were.

In all honesty, I don’t like scalpers either. Especially how most stock is acquired for PS5s and Xbox Series Xs, as well as items such as the God of War Ragnarok Edition. However, if like me, you hate what scalpers do, stop buying from them. If desperate gamers took a stand and didn’t help to fill their greedy pockets, they would lose a lot of incentives.

So as annoying as it can be missing out, don’t give the scalpers the satisfaction of giving them your money. They don’t deserve it. If you want to see what’s included in the Jotnar and Collector Edition, click here.
