Following the seemingly ever-lasting controversies of Gran Turismo 7, the developers have apologised and rewarded players with free credits.

From rewards being reduced, promises of selling cars being broken, online server connection issues and more, it’s been a rough post-launch road for GT7. Though we could argue that it’s been at the undoing of Polyphony Digital.

However, on the PlayStation blog, Polyphony Digital has made a proper apology, outlined plans to fix the game and are gifting players with free 1,000,000 credits as compensation for the troubles.

Over the coming weeks, payments for World Circuit events will be increased by an average of 100%. An increase of rewards will also be made to online modes and additional rewards will be given for clearing Circuit Experience. Furthermore, eight new one-hour Endurance Race events will be added to the game.

Additionally, Used and Legend cars on offer will also be increased. These changes will roll out at the beginning of April. Oh, and as previously promised, we will soon be able to sell Used cars, finally!

Further updates down the line will also add new tracks, events, and cars as well as fixes. In terms of the free 1,000,000 credits, be sure to claim them in-game before April 25th.
