IGN First Video Reveals Bloodborne Will Have Shields

In the latest IGN First video for February, the developers of Bloodborne talked of how despite the player being the hunter against sinister demons, they want you to fear the unknown and among many other things, they also revealed that Bloodborne will have shields.  It was largely expected that unlike the Dark Souls series, you wouldn’t be able to defend yourself in that way.

However, despite shields featuring,  it seems that they will remain few and far between, as the developers wanted the player to embrace the faster paced gameplay (in comparison to Demon and Dark Souls), rather than standing back with your shield.

Bloodborne will release exclusively for the PS4 on February 24^th in North America, the 25^th across Europe and the 27^th in the UK.
