It what is quite obvious news, seeing as Konami removed the option to download P.T from the PS4’s PSN Store, but they have now officially confirmed that P.T will again not be downloadable on the PlayStation 5.  P.T also did not appear on the list of games from Sony, which highlights titles transferable from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5.

In case you didn’t know, P.T was a “Playable Teaser” from a revived Silent Hill project led by Hideo Kojima, before Kojima and Konami had an epic fallout, and cruelly cancelled Silent Hills altogether in 2015.  Yet, despite it being cancelled around five years ago, its cult status following has kept its essence and lore very much alive to this day.

However, that doesn’t mean that you might not be able to download P.T on the PS5, it just won’t be via official methods.  For example, there are a number of easy-to-follow Proxy tutorials that shows you step-by-step instructions how to re-download P.T to your PS4, just in case you deleted it or bought a new PS4 console.

Also, if you have an external hard drive for your PS4, it might be worth storing P.T on there, in-case you can essentially plug-in and play on the PS5.  It might not work, but there’s no harm in trying, just in case.  However, even if you find a way to transfer P.T to your PS5, we don’t know for sure until the next-gen console releases, whether or not it will be playable.  Thankfully we won’t have long to find out, as the PS5 releases next month.

Are you going to try to play P.T on your PS5 or perhaps you’ll be playing it on PS4 this Halloween?  Share your Lisa ghost stories across our social media channels.  Oh Konami, if you listen to anyone, just revive Silent Hill, please!
