Many fans were… only slightly surprised. Based off of games like Pokémon Yellow, Crystal, Emerald, and Platinum we knew that Nintendo and GameFreak couldn’t resist another installment in the 5th generation. Though I don’t think anyone expected a sequel instead of a remake/remix/cash cow/just take my money. Well it’s more of what you love about Pokémon and the kitchen sink but how much longer can they really keep up with using the same tried and true formula?

- New areas and your rival help keep things from feeling too familiar
- New places such as PokeStar Studios and Pokemon World Tournament add new challenges
- New move tutors mean a lot of moves your pokemon can learn that can really help them out
- New little upgrades like the DayCare Center and the EverStone effects
- Seriously there's a lot of new content in this game to list
- At its core it's the same experience we've been doing since the first generation
- Most players want ridiculous trades at the GTS
