Konami announced partnership with FC Barcelona for PES 2017, new trailer released

Konami has announced a premium partnership with football giants FC Barcelona.  The multi-year deal will grant the developers of PES 2017 ultimate access to the players, brand and stadium, basically anything that want to make their game more authentic.  Not only will player likenesses be taken to a whole new level when associated with Barcelona, but minor details such as facial expressions, movements and tattoos will also be more accurate than ever before.

And that’s not even taking PES’s Player and Team ID’s into account, which takes that extra step to insure teams and players behave more like their real-life counterparts to every minor detail.  This deal also means that FC Barcelona’s home, the Camp Nou stadium will be exclusive to PES 17, meaning that it won’t be making an appearance in the FIFA series for potentially the next few years at least.

FC Barcelona Vice-President of Marketing and Communications had this to say on the announcement “We are delighted to have signed this agreement with Konami, who is now an official Premium Partner of the Club“, Manel Arroyo added “Konami is a strategic partner that will allow us to bring FC Barcelona to millions of users of its game. We hope to see the club, the players and Camp Nou, perfectly recreated in the next and future versions of the PES series.

Also to help mark this announcement, Konami has released a batch of new screenshots and a brand new trailer, all of which can be found in this article.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 will release for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One from September 13th.
