Super Bomberman R Shows off its Opening Cinematic

 

With Super Bomberman R marking the games first full console release for quite some time, there’s obviously some level of hype. Although there’s been a few multiplayer focused games released on console in the past, it’s been a while since we’ve seen a story mode appear too. With a story mode an actual narrative is expected, and that’s exactly what the opening cinematic for the game sets up.

 

The cinematic itself is far from the most mind blowing thing you’d expect, but then the Bomberman games were never about jaw dropping visuals. It goes for a cute “bad dub” anime style, at least I hope that’s what they’re going for as the voice over makes no effort to match the mouth movements. You can watch the cinematic below and you’ll be able to pick up Super Bomberman R on March 3rd exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
