Microsoft has bought Ninja Theory, Playground Games and more #E32018 #XboxE3

At the Xbox E3 conference, it what was quite surprising news when Phil Spencer took to the stage to announce that Microsoft has bought four development studios, which includes the creators of Hellblade, Ninja Theory.  This means from this day forth, that any Ninja Theory titles will be exclusive to Xbox One and Windows 10, unless Microsoft state otherwise.

Phil Spencer also announced that Microsoft has acquired Forza Horizon developers, Playground Games, State of Decay developers, Undead Labs and finally, We Happy Few developers, Compulsion Games.

If rumours are to be believed, Eurogamer say that Phil Spencer had nearly slipped up to them by stating that Playground Games are working on a new Fable title, before halting his words and saying that they are working on a “open world adventure game.
