#E32019 PES 2020 Announced with eSports Branding and Big Overhaul

The latest Pro Evolution soccer was announced at E3 and it’s quite clear that Konami are really going all-out with an eSports push, so much so that this year’s instalment has been rebranded, with it now being called eFootball PES 2020.

However, that is not all, because PES 2020 is having quite the overhaul and it very much seems for the better.  For starters, they’ve brought in football legend, and former Barcelona and Spain star Andrés Iniesta as a gameplay consultant and judging from the gameplay video below, it’s paying off.  Not only with player intelligence, but also skills, interaction and even how the ball reacts in certain situations.

The popular Master League has also been “remastered” and this is great news for me on a personal level, because quite frankly I’ve grown quite bored of the mode in recent years.  This year’s Master League looks to be a proper campaign, with fancy cut-scenes, licensing, improvements to player signings and developments, and much more.  You’ll even be able to create your own manager avatar or you can pick from the likes of Zico, Johan Cruyff and Diego Maradona.

With a renewed sponsorship with FC Barcelona, Lionel Messi is this year’s cover star and if you pick up the Legend Edition, you’ll have access to Ronaldinho, Gabriel Batistuta, Francesco Totti, David Beckham and much more.  Also anyone that pre-orders PES 2020, will be gifted with Andrés Iniesta and 1,000 my Club coins.

The user-interface will also receive an overdue re-design and they’ll be a new mode called Matchday where you will “Align yourself with one of two different sides at the start of each weekly event, where every perfectly placed pass and show-stopping goal unleashed contributes points towards victory.

eFootball PES 2020 will release for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 10th.
