Blur To Be Free To Everyone On Xbox Live

Just to clarify what I mean by free – I mean that you Xbox live sliver members will, as rumoured by MTV Multiplayer and for the first time in the history of Xbox live, be able to play an online game and not have to be one of us super elite GOLD members.

The article says members of the lower tier of Live can challenge each other in the racer. Besides this, it is unclear if they are able to race with Gold members but multiplayer is multiplayer right?
