Niantic, the developers of the ever-popular mobile game, Pokemon Go have announced on their official blog, that you will soon be able to Raid in the comfort of your own home.  Niantic have made several adjustments in the game as of late to help players to not feel the need to venture outside with the threat of the Coronavirus, such as taking out the walking requirement to unlock the next level of the Go Battle League, as well as Raid Hours and Community Days being cancelled.

While there are no details as to how the Raiding from home will work, I imagine that as a Raid in your area launches, you’ll be able to invite friends from your list into a lobby and then you’ll all be able to Raid together.  However, Niantic have stated that details will be announced soon.

The Adventure Sync which counts your steps to unlock weekly goals and to hatch eggs will also be adjusted and will soon work “even better with indoor movement and activities” in another method of getting fans to enjoy the game at home in the current climate.

In the coming weeks, Niantic will make further adjustments so that we can enjoy all the features and more of Pokemon Go in our homes.  You can read further details on the current and future updates of Pokemon Go via the official blog.
