It doesn’t matter where you live, what you do for a living or what generation you are from, all of us are being affected by Covid-19 aka the Coronavirus in one way or another.  Most of us have to deal with isolation and no matter your tolerance; it’s a testing time and worrying.  Thankfully for us gamers, some might say that we’ve been training for isolation for years and gaming gives us the perfect distraction from the outside world, and of course it gives us an opportunity to work through our gaming pile of shame.

However, outside of our in-house distractions, we all have our concerns and there will no doubt be times when we want to learn more about this pandemic that has swept our world.  Thankfully, videogame related charity Safe in Our World is here and they’ve launched a new Covid-19 Hub, a one-stop shop with information, resources, advice and much more.  There’s even recommendations are games you might want to check out during your self-isolation.  The Covid-19 Hub also offers information on how to deal with the current stresses of our world and techniques that will help us relax and excise in the comfort of our own homes.

Chairman of Safe in Our World, Leo Zullo had this to say on the new Covid-19 Hub “As a charity, we’re doing our best to support those around us, and the wider industry. Whether working from home within the industry, or our players, everyone will be adjusting to a new normal. This dedicated hub is designed to signpost techniques to help deal with the challenge of isolation. We’ll continue to do everything we can to help.

Regardless of how much this current climate has affected you, whether you’ve been suffering in the past, present or in the future, speaking from my own experience, a charity such as Safe in Our World is ran by people with common interests and with that, common ground can be found, and this new Hub is very welcoming with easy to access information, and if you have a passion for gaming and regardless of your stress levels, the website is well worth checking out as there’s something relatable for just about everyone as an individual, husband, wife and parent.

Hopefully you’ll find something that can help you out, and please remember, during a time where selfishness often comes out in the worst of us, I’ve seen more acts of kindness and generosity now then I have even seen before in my life.  If you’re suffering, never feel your problems are less than anybody else’s, and never feel a bother to ever ask for help, because when you least expect it, someone will always help you and a charity such as Safe in Our World is always there to lend a helping hand.

The Safe in Our World Covid-19 Hub can be found here.  Stay safe and well.
