F1 2020 releases next week from Codemasters, it’s been a few years since I’ve played a game in the series and having played this latest release in preparation for my review, I can tell you that the improvements over previous versions are noticeable, and the new features trailer highlights just some of the newest inclusions.

Along with the popular career mode is the improved My Team mode, where you not only get the simulation gameplay on the track, but you also get to manage your team to the top of the podium and this mode puts you in charge of not only taking part in the race and its strategies, but also sponsorships, car and driver customisation, mechanics, team facilities, upgrades, interviews and much more.

If you want to take part in a shorter season, you can adjust the season length to your preference, there are also more accessible options in driving assists, handling and difficulties for both F1 and F2 racing.  How you utilise the ERS feature during a race has also now been simplified with a single press of the button.

Split-screen, local co-op racing has also returned, as well as classic F1 cars, and we’ll be getting two new tracks with Hanoi Circuit and Circuit Zandvoort.  Each season will also bring a new Podium Pass, with new events and rewards, such as bonus XP, cosmetics for your drivers and cars, driver accessories, podium emotes and more.  With each season, it will offer enough currency by playing the game to purchase each new VIP Podium Pass.

For those that purchase F1 2020: Michael Schumacher Deluxe Edition, they will get the game on Tuesday, July 7th and for everyone else it will be three days later on the 10thF1 2020 will release for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Google Stadia.
