Stalker 2 despite all its rumours and official reveals is honestly something I genuinely compare to Half-Life 3, a game everyone talks about, but no one seems to be releasing. So, imagine my pleasant surprise, when the game got confirmed in the #XboxGamesShowcase of all the places. I mean, this is as official it gets right?

The new trailer showcased the in-engine quality of the game, with what appeared to be some iconic locations from the first game. Best of all, we got to see some anomalies in action. For those who are not aware, anomalies are one of the scariest features in a videogame, an unknown force of energy that is unpredictable and highly volatile, that when appears, everyone runs the other direction as fast as they can.

According to the official website, “The game will feature an epic, non-linear story. Your choices will influence both short-term consequences and global outcomes. It’s a unique blend of FPS, immersive sim and horror with a really thick atmosphere. One of the biggest open-worlds to date is yours to explore — along with an epic branching story with multiple endings.

Stalker 2 doesn’t have a concrete date yet, but was previously announced for 2021 via some old trailers. However, the game will be available on both PC and Xbox Series X, with Series X getting the game added to Game Pass.
