Codemasters has released another next-gen gameplay video featuring DiRT 5 running on the Xbox Series X.  This time, rather than being dedicated to a specific location like previous gameplay videos, this one is simply highlights some of the benefits that the next-gen version brings to the dirt track.

Running on Xbox Series X and PS5, DiRT 5 can reach framerates of 120fps, as well as hitting a 4K resolution.  The game will also feature performance options, favouring visuals, framerate or somewhere in-between, depending on your personal preference.

Robert Karp, who recently spoke to us during an interview, also had this to say on the next-gen version of DiRT 5It’s hard to believe that in less than a month, DIRT 5 will make its mark on the next generation of consoles. The studio has done an incredible job, and we can’t wait for players to join us in the lobbies. With a Career mode featuring Troy Baker and Nolan North, Playgrounds, Arcade and split-screen and multiplayer options, there is so much variety, and DIRT 5 offers something for every type of racing fan.

DiRT 5 will take advantage of Smart Delivery on Xbox, not only giving you a free next-gen upgrade for current-gen owners, but your save data will also carry over.  Unfortunately for PS4 to PS5 owners, while you will also get a free next-gen upgrade, at least at the time of writing, save data will not carry over, which is disappointing.

DiRT 5 will release for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on November 6th, it will then be a next-gen launch title for Xbox Series X|S on November 10th, and PS5 from November 12th.  It will also launch for Google Stadia early 2021.
