Thanks to a recent job listing post at Sucker Punch Productions, it seems that the Infamous: Second Son and Sly Raccoon developers are already starting the process of developing a sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, a game considered by many to be one of the best games of its generation.

In the description for the job listing, it reads “join our writing team and help create engaging narrative content for our upcoming projects. Daily tasks will include writing dialogue and text, developing open-world stories, and crafting narrative content in collaboration with other designers.

While the job listing doesn’t out right say that that the project is Ghost of Tsushima 2, the listing does require the potential candidate to have experience working on “current generation of open-world-games”, have a “desire to write stories set in feudal Japan”, though the developer will see it as a bonus if you specifically have “knowledge of feudal Japanese history”.  If you add all those elements together, it sounds a lot like a sequel to Ghost of Tsushima and I’d be more surprised at this point if it isn’t.  You can check out the job listing for yourself here.

Assuming that this is the sequel (and it probably is), it’s likely that its release is at least two or three years away.  Hopefully by the time the Ghost of Tsushima sequel releases, I’ll finally get to play the first game!
