Red Dead Online is Releasing as a Standalone Game

Rockstar Games has announced that Red Dead Online is releasing as a standalone game from December 1st.

From December 1st until February 15th, 2021 you will be able to receive a 75% discount taking the price from $19.99 to just $4.99.  At the time of writing there is no UK price, but I expect the discounted price to be between £3.99-£4.99.

Red Dead Online will be available via the PlayStation Store for PS4 and PS5, the Microsoft Store for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, as well as for PC via the Rockstar Games Launcher, Steam and the Epic Game Store.

Just like Red Dead Redemption 2, Red Dead Online will be backwards compatible on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.  When purchasing Red Dead Online there will also be an option via the in-game menu to purchase and unlock Red Dead Redemption 2.

Naturally the standalone Red Dead Online will be the exact same game that is included in Red Dead Redemption 2 and will receive all the content updates both past, present and in future.
