The greatest fighter of all-time is coming to Street Fighter 5! Yes, that’s right, the “Master of Saikyo” aka Dan Hibiki is coming back as a playable character in Capcom’s marquee fighting series.

The arrival of Dan marks the fifth and apparently final season of Street Fighter 5 and with him comes some free new content too which is accessible the next time you fire up the game.

We were first introduced to Dan in the Street Fighter Alpha series and since that moment, this oddball, yet lovable character had quickly won the hearts of fans.

 

Dan will be added to the roster of Street Fighter 5 with the Season 5 Character Pass or the Season 5 Premium Pass, as well as being purchasable on his own.

Accompanying Dan will be a free update for Street Fighter 5 which will add the new V-Shirt battle mechanic which is said to provide players with “all-new defensive options and strategies.”

In addition, a new training stage will also be added to Street Fighter 5 called “The Grid Alternative”, which is also free for all owners of the game.

Following Dan Hibiki in Season 5’s character/premium pass will be a further four characters including Rose (Spring 2021), Oro (Summer 2021), Akira (Summer 2021) and a fifth unannounced character set to arrival Fall this year.

Additionally, a total of 26 new costumes and two new stages are planned in the paid-for Season 5 content with the Rose Stage (Spring 2021) and the Akira Stage (Summer 2021).

*Eleven is a mimic character who can randomly transform itself into any character currently owned in Street Fighter V. The mimicked character will retain Eleven’s colour scheme, while still performing exactly like the character being copied.
