During the Summer Games Fest kick-off show, confirming recent rumours Death Stranding Director’s Cut was officially announced.

In the trailer which was typically (and deliberately) Metal Gear Solid- esque, we see protagonist Sam Porter Bridges enter a warehouse building with guards patrolling, reminding us of the PS1 classic.

Wondering how to sneak past them, Sam then considers the MGS tried and tested cardboard box to breeze past the guards. Before deciding against using the legendary stealth item.

While no details were revealed other than showing off a gameplay video, more details are said to be “just weeks away” and that it will be coming to Sony’s console “soon”.

As the gameplay video suggests, this Director’s Cut will come with new story content and will be released for the PlayStation 5.
