Digital Foundry has remastered the iconic Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty E3 2000 trailer and it looks amazing.
Two decades ago, E3 wasn’t quite what it is in this modern era, so at the time trailers wouldn’t have gotten as many views (at least for the time). But despite this, the MGS2 trailer is viewed by many to be one of the best E3 trailers of all time.
Earlier, @HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN tweeted about future evolving AIs that remaster old games – but in the here and now, how about a 4K AI upscaled look at Kojima’s very own MGS2 debut trailer from E3 2000? Digital Foundry is a partner with Eurogamer, and they often analyse video game and technology performance. However, from time to time they do something extra special from time to time.
Using special AI technology, the MGS2 trailer, which was originally 480p, has now been upscaled to glorious 4K and the results are impressive.
