Black Matter’s brutal and strategic WW2-themed first-person shooter ‘Hell Let Loose’ is available now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

Hell Let Loose was released for the PC during the summer, but now it’s finally available on consoles. The game features 10 big maps that cater for 50 vs 50 matches. The game is based upon historic battles and locations of the Western Front of the War. Locations include Utah and Omaha beaches, Carentan and Foy.

In total players can also choose from 14 different soldier classes, each with their own unique roles to play in the battle. Battles are also managed by an overarching Commander. Hell Let Loose also features cross-play between Xbox and PlayStation consoles.

Having spent a very brief time with Hell Let Loose, the game is brutal. So, if you play it like a game of Call of Duty or Battlefield, you will get hammered. I do intend on reviewing Hell Let Loose, but it will take me a little while to get used to its style and mechanics. However, my first impressions are good. But a word of note, play as a team and not like your John Rambo.

Hell Let Loose has a launch price of £34.99/€39.99/$39.99. However, it is also included as an October title for PlayStation Plus on PS4 and PS5. So, subscribers can play Hell Let Loose at no extra cost.
