Capcom is teasing something Resident Evil related on Twitter and it’s sent fans into a frenzy.

“Oh, there’s something suspicious activity going on at the Resident Evil portal…,” says the tweet. “It seems that this was the reason why all the staff around me worked busy lately. There’s something going on tomorrow at 4PM (JST), so we hope you all enjoy it!”

Now, I want to get excited, but it’s probably important not to get carried away. The fact that the tweet ends with “#REBHFUN” could indicate that this could be something minimal. It could just be a celebration of sorts, merchandise relate, or god forbid, NFT related.

However, fans have spotted some interesting elements with the image used in the tweet. For starters, some have noticed the head-turning zombie from the OG RE1. You can even see what looks like the original RE2 logo. Some have even pointed out that the background looks like the pause menu of RE4.

This has led some to believe that the rumoured RE4 remake could be announced. Though I would assume Capcom would use a bigger stage for such an announcement. That being said, perhaps we could get remastered ports of the original RE trilogy?

At this time, we can only speculate. But please, please, don’t be NFTs! Thankfully, we won’t have long to find out. The ‘reveal’ is set to take place at 7am UK time/2am ET.
