SEGA and RGG Studio have announced that the first story expansion for Lost Judgment arrives later this month. Rejoice!

The Kaito Files will arrive on March 28th and will feature a new case to crack in a four-part standalone story starring the charming, Masaharu Kaito. The expansion will be available as a standalone purchase or at no extra cost for Ultimate Edition or season pass owners.

In The Kaito Files, the story is said to tie up loose ends of Kaito’s past and with it comes his own detective techniques and two new fighting styles. So Kaito will be cracking skulls as well as a new case.

Without giving spoilers away, despite featuring details of Kaito’s past, this story will take place after the main campaign of Lost Judgment. So, make sure that you finish the main campaign before taking on the DLC.

According to the press release, in The Kaito Files:

His side of the story: Challenge all-new bosses with Kaito’s unique combat styles, scour Kamurocho for new collectables and dive into Kaito’s past in this larger-than-life drama expansion spanning four chapters.

Beast of the streets: Brazen, bold and always bombastic, Kaito is reliable in any fight, shake-down, or chase. Go beast mode with Kaito’s aggressive Bruiser fighting style or crank up the defence with his Tank fighting style.

Trust your gut: No need for Yagami’s fancy gadgets here; Kaito has his own sensory-based sleuthing style. Tap into Kaito’s Primal Focus to literally sniff out clues, identify suspects and crack the case with his instincts.
