Capcom hasn’t officially ruled out the possibility of a Resident Evil Code: Veronica remake. Don’t tease us Capcom!

Media outlet Noisy Pixel had the opportunity to speak to Resident Evil 4 producer, Yoshiaki Hirabayashi. They asked the producer what are the chances of Code Veronica being remade. After all, this is a game that fans have wanted to be remade for many years.

In a very brief response on the topic of a Resident Evil Code: Veronica remake, Hirabayashi-san replied if the “opportunity comes, maybe.

Sure, that’s by no means any confirmation. However, at the very least, it’s in the thoughts of Capcom. Chronologically, Code Veronica was released after Resident Evil 3. So far out of the mainline entries, the first three games have benefitted from a remake.

However, rather than remaking Code Veronica after RE3, Capcom jumped straight to RE4. I’m not complaining, because RE4 is awesome, however, Code Veronica needs some love too. So hopefully when the development of RE4 is done, Capcom might finally make the Code Veronica remake happen.
