Gotham Knights gets free 4-player mode, out now

Gotham Knights gets its 4-player Heroic Assault mode and it’s available right now via a free update for all that own the game.
In Heroic Assault, four players will team up to face 30 “action-packed floors” against waves of enemies “in the depths below Gotham City”. Heroic Assault also introduces new enemies responsible for all the chaos, namely, Starro the Conqueror and Man-Bat!

However, that is not all, because we’re also being treated to the new 2-player mode, Showdown. In Showdown: “confront supercharged versions of the game’s main DC Super-Villains, including Mr. Freeze, Harley Quinn, Clayface and Talia al Ghul.”
By defeating enemies in Showdown, players will be rewarded with new legendary gear blueprints, unique suits as well as Batcycle skins. Happy days.
However, Heroic Assault will only be accessible when players reach Case File 05 in the main campaign. While Showdown requires players to defeat the boss in each main villain Case File.

In my review of Gotham Knights, I said: “It would be easy to listen to the negative whispers, but if you like the DC universe, Gotham Knights might be worth giving a chance. It won’t win any Game of the Year awards, but it still has charm. Be the hero that this game needs because Gotham Knights is an underdog story worth experiencing.”
