Silent Hill 2 remake story will be faithful with updated gameplay

The Silent Hill 2 remake story will be faithful to its source material, however, it will feature updated gameplay and areas.

When speaking to DreadXP, the chief marketing officer of Bloober Team, Anna Jasińska said that the remake will be taking a “very safe approach” as well as “adjustments to certain areas” to make the game feel more modern.

Jasińska also promised that the remake will be sticking to the “traditional story canon” with the gameplay and visuals being built from the ground up.

To further ease concerns about how Bloober Team might approach the remake, Jasińska added: “We are not straying away from the original concept of making this cult classic; we just have some ideas on how to make the peculiar scare factors more appealing to the contemporary audience.”

At this time the Silent Hill 2 remake doesn’t have a release date. However, fans are hoping to see its release later this year or early 2024. It will be released for PC and PS5.
