Pikmin for Wii U Confirmed by Miyamoto

Nintendo Network and game industry insiders were invited to a Nintendo roundtable where Shigeru Miyamoto, Yoshiaki Koizumi & Eiji Aonuma discussed upcoming titles.

In the video, they discussed Skyward Sword whilst showing off some new footage and they also showed new footage of Super Mario 3D (with a celebratory Legend of Zelda style level to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of The Legend of Zelda) and Luigi’s Mansion 2. At the end of the discussion though, Miyamoto said that he really wanted to release a new Pikmin title this year but after working on the Wii U hardware a lot and how much depth it offers, he decided that they’re going to make the game for the Wii U!
