Alien: Isolation – Screenshots & Concept Images
In the February issue of Edge Magazine, there is a special feature on Alien: Isolation, which is well worth picking up an issue for that reason alone. Along with some juicy details direct from the developers themselves, there was also some new screenshots and concept art to show off. The images of course show the terrifying 10ft alien that you will stalk you throughout the game, and they also showcased the various environments of the game.
What I liked about the environments in particular, is that even though the game is set some way into the future, they’ve still managed to capture the late 1970’s/early 80’s theme from the movies. You can see what I mean via the screenshot of a computer desk, with a calendar placed directly above, the photography is reminiscent of the era from the movies.
Alien: Isolation is set between the events of the original Alien movie and Aliens, and it’s centred around Ripley’s daughter who is on the pursuit to find the whereabouts of her mother. The game looks simply terrifying and is looking to be a game that fans of the franchise have longed for. You can check out the announcement trailer below as well as an awesome 10 minute preview from Official Playstation Magazine.
Alien: Isolation is developed by The Creative Assembly (Total War series) and is expected to release later in the year for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
