Microsoft and 343 Industries have announced two Collector’s Editions for Halo 5: Guardians (as well as the standard edition), “With three pre-order editions to choose from, eager fans can reserve a copy of Halo 5: Guardians”, the Limited Edition carries an RRP of $99.99 and the Limited Collector’s Edition has an RRP of $249.99 (we don’t have a UK price at this time).  Though despite each edition (especially the Limited Collector’s) carrying quite a hefty price tag, there are no images as of yet for either of the editions.

At this time we only have the descriptions to go by.  Sure, you might collect every single Collector’s Edition related to the Halo series and I myself like to collect gaming loot, but Microsoft and 343 Industries could have waited until they had images to show us, especially as Halo 5: Guardians isn’t out until Fall 2015.  I suppose with the multiplayer beta officially kicking off today for owners of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, they want to capitalise on extremely loyal Halo fans with burning pockets.

Also with the standard edition of the game, those that pre-order will be gifted a poster.  Below are the written details as to what you’ll get in each edition and until we are provided with the relevant images, you’ll just have to use your imagination for now.   You can however follow this link to see mock-up images of both editions, as well as directing you to the retailer of your choice to place a pre-order.

  • Standard Edition for $59.99 – Halo 5: Guardians plus an exclusive poster, only available to those who pre-order.
  • Limited Edition for $99.99 – Everything in the Standard Edition plus new digital content to enhance Spartan combat and exclusive items wrapped in a uniquely designed steel book.
  • Limited Collector’s Edition for $249.99 – Everything in the Limited Edition as well as additional content such as a commemorative numbered statue designed by 343 Industries. More details on the design to be shared at a later date.
