After months of waiting patiently, the full Resident Evil 4 remake PSVR2 campaign arrives for free next week.

The Resident Evil 4 remake PSVR2 campaign will arrive as free DLC for all those who own the base game. The free DLC will be available exclusively on PlayStation on Friday 8 December 2023. What’s more, on launch day the Resident Evil 4 VR Mode Gameplay Demo will be available which will include the opening of the game as well as the Shooting Range. However, the Ada Wong DLC, Separate Ways is not available for PSVR2.

“In addition to grounding players in this hostile environment, Resident Evil 4 VR Mode heightens the realism with PlayStation VR2 Sense technology. The intuitive controls provide new ways to interact with the world,” reads the press release provided by Capcom. “Weapons can be handled with natural motions, including unique gestures for reloading specific firearms, such as handguns, shotguns, and rifles. This also extends to the game’s enhanced knife action for those close encounters.”

In my review of Resident Evil 4, I said: “Resident Evil 4 remake is not only a redefined horror, but its a remake that has once more asserted itself into the Mount Rushmore of video games. Yet again, Capcom has created one of the best games ever. Kudos Capcom, Kudos.”

Resident Evil 4 is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox Series X|S as well as compatible Mac devices.
