Not for the first time, Hideo Kojima has spoken of his desire to see the original Metal Gear Solid remade, though sadly it seems, no one has stepped up to the challenge.  When in attendance and speaking to Famitsu at the Taipei Game Show in Taiwan, Hideo was asked about his thoughts on playing new versions of earlier games in the Metal Gear Solid series and he said that he would like to play an open-world Shadow Moses running on the Fox Engine.

However, he did express that due to his workload, it’s not possible for him to do right now, especially as his team are currently dedicated to other projects such as Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and of course Silent Hills.  Just imagine the original Metal Gear Solid running on the glorious Fox Engine!  Oh the torture!

Back in August 2013, Hideo Kojima spoke of how he’d like to see the first two Metal Gear Solid games running on the Fox Engine.  So to be the optimist, the fact that Hideo keeps on bringing this topic into conversation, there is some hope that one day we might not only see a new gen Metal Gear Solid, but also a Sons of Liberty too.  Here’s to hoping and optimism!
