Rockstar Games has announced that Grand Theft Auto 5 arrives to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S next month on March 15th.

Furthermore, Rockstar has also detailed some of the improvements that will be made to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S version of GTA 5.

GTA 5 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will feature 4K resolution, as well as HDR and ray-tracing support. It will also perform at up to 60 frames-per-second. Additionally, it will also have faster loading times on new-gen consoles. PS5 players can also take advantage of 3D Audio, and the DualSense controllers’ haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.

PS4 and Xbox One players will also be pleased to know that you can transfer your progress from the GTA 5 story mode and GTA Online over to the new-gen consoles. This will be a “one-time migration at launch.

There will also be a standalone version of GTA Online, separate from the GTA 5/GTA Online bundle package. For the first free months, the standalone version of GTA Online will be free for three months on PS5.

Some quality of life improvements will also be made to GTA Online on new-gen consoles. In GTA Online you will no longer be required to play the GTA 5 story mode prologue before jumping into GTA Online. The new-gen port of GTA Online will automatically include all previously released content updates.

Players will now be able to instantly access Career Builder with a choice of one illicit business, such as Biker, Executive, Gunrunner or Nightclub Owner. Players will also be gifted with “sizable GTA$ windfall to help select a property, high-end vehicle, and the firepower required to kickstart their enterprise.” If you wish, you will also have the option to start your online player and career from scratch to take advantage of the Career Builder.
