A registered trademark for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass has fuelled speculation that remasters are on the way.

The trademarks were spotted by Twitter user KeliosFR and were accepted in Australia when filed in July 2020.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker first released for the GameCube back in 2003 before getting a HD remaster for the Wii U in 2013.  Whereas Phantom Hourglass released for the DS in 2007.

Despite getting an extra release on the Wii U, fans have been calling for a new remaster of The Wind Waker for the Nintendo Switch for quite some time and it now looks closer to happening, especially with the Zelda series celebrating its 35th anniversary this year.
