Sony and Housemarque’s popular twin-stick shooter Super Stardust has just announced that it will be coming to the Playstation 4 with Super Stardust Ultra.  While no release date was given, the announcement on the Playstation Blog stated that updates and a release date will be coming soon.

Super Stardust Ultra will feature an “array of new planets, glorious visual enhancements” and comes with nine game modes, including all new modes and “established favourites” making a return, with the promise of additional modes with DLC.  Super Stardust Ultra will also include an Interactive Streaming mode which lets viewers vote on how the gameplay will change.

The game will also allow you to set and send challenges to friends, teasing them to try and beat your best scores, as well as including global leaderboards.  If that wasn’t enough, then Super Stardust Ultra not only feature a solo mode, but you will also be able to compete with friends in 2-4 battles either locally or online, that includes a co-op mode.

Stay tuned to Push Start for further announcements on Super Stardust Ultra.
