Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth arrives early 2024 on two discs

It’s been a while since we’ve had news on Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the follow-up to the Final Fantasy VII Remake of 2020.

Alas, during Summer Game Fest we were not only informed of its release window but we were also treated to a new gameplay trailer. Oh, and Square Enix confirmed that the physical game on PlayStation 5 will be shipped on two discs.

“In this standalone adventure, Cloud Strife and his friends have escaped the dystopian city of Midgar and embark on a new journey across the wide world of Gaia to pursue the vengeful swordsman, Sephiroth,” reads the FF7 Rebirth synopsis.

“Find out which mysteries the party will uncover when FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH arrives on PS5 in early 2024. Players can explore an expansive world, all brought to life with a new level of graphical fidelity, developed specifically to leverage the power of the PS5 console.”

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be released in ‘early 2024’ for PlayStation 5.
