Final Fantasy XV Story Trailer – Cid IS A GIRL!

 

Over the weekend a Jump Festa 2015 trailer for Final Fantasy XV was released, showcasing some fully English voice-over work from the fresh cast of FFXV (no big name voice actors have yet been announced or recognised).

The most prominent part of this trailer, aside from the fantastic visuals and the story now voiced in English, is the revelation of Cid, or Cindy. The character of Cid has been a popular mainstay of the Final Fantasy universe since its beginning, the most popular of which is Cid Highwind from Final Fantasy VII, having had many cameos in various titles including the Kingdom Hearts series, the previous Cid being Cid Raines in Final Fantasy XIII and the newest one being Cindy who will be the Southern American (voiced) Mechanic of the party in FFXV.

As always the game looks fantastic, but release is still some ways off. So hopefully there will be plenty more to come yet going into 2015.
