GoldenEye 007 remaster is finally confirmed

After years of leaks and rumours, the GoldenEye 007 remaster has been finally confirmed.
Announced during the recent Nintendo Direct presentation, GoldenEye 007 will be coming to Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
GoldenEye 007 will be remastered with HD visuals as well as a smoother framerate. Furthermore, for Xbox, it will come with full Achievement support. It will also of course support split-screen multiplayer. However, online multiplayer only seems a thing for the Nintendo Switch right now. So hopefully that will change come launch or via a post-launch update.

For Xbox players, GoldenEye 007 will be available via Xbox Game Pass or as a free update for those that own Rare Replay. For Nintendo Switch players, it will be available as a new addition to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion library. Sadly, there is no word for a PlayStation release at this time.
