Here is Your First Official Look at Sony’s Playstation 5

I will personally admit, that the PS5 is without a doubt one of the best looking consoles I have seen, that looks unlike anything that’s been out before! It particularly stands out against the tower like design of the Series X in my opinion.

 

PC gamers will be quite familiar with this design, as it looks similar to certain routers, and especially the aurora Alienware mini PCs. However, with a collared edge and non cubical shape, it definitely stands out as a console, not to mention making it white as base is also refreshing.

We have previously examined the PS5 hardware and compared it to the ones found on the Xbox One. What really stood out to me from the recent reveal is that there will be two different versions of the console available, with and without a disc drive, which makes sense as a lot of people I know solely buy games online, rather than get a disc.

So far the design looks to house 2 types of USB ports on the front, a usb-in as well as what appears to be USB-C. Size wize, the console looks like it will reach at least a mini pc tower in height, and will be the tallest console yet, which is not surprising as both the PS5 and Xbox are using technology that has yet to become form-factor, requiring large space and vents.
